Venice Beach-based designer Sophie Monet creates jewelry that is informed by her father John Okulick’s art: large, abstract wood and metal sculptures. (He also built the studio where all of Monet’s jewelry is made.) Combining mid-century references with earth inspirations, these Pod Earrings are handcrafted with two hanging elements from shedua wood (repurposed scraps from her father’s sculptures), and painted metal. The design reflects her commitment to sustainability. “I sculpt the materials that surround me, bringing natural elements into different contexts,” she says. These Sophie Monet Pod Earrings are made in Los Angeles and measure 2.16l x 1w x 0.15"d
