Color: Orange
A remarkable color statement, the Rado Watch is based on the “Architectural Polychromy” palettes that legendary Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier developed for a wallpaper company, in 1931 and 1959. Made in Switzerland by Rado, this True Thinlines Watch combines Le Corbusier’s color palette with the company’s high-tech ceramic—a lightweight, scratch- and shock-resistant sustainable material that retains its form and color for decades. Each color is produced in a limited edition of 999.
The Rado True Thinlines Les Couleurs Le Corbusier Watch is only 4.9mm thick and features an articulated wristband, a 38mm case and quartz movements.
Le Corbusier’s color palettes are still in wide use among architects and designers—a testament to their long-lasting relevance. Le Corbusier is an architect and designer in MoMA's collection whose work has been featured on over 60 exhibitions, beginning in 1932 with Modern Architecture: International Exhibition.
