A fun and fluorescent timepiece that nods to ’80s nostalgia.

Inspired by the original 1988 version, this Neon Flumotions Watch is now refreshed with an ultra-slim case. Its bright multi-colored dial has a black hour hand and a pink minute hand in a transparent blue biosourced case with biosourced glass. The matte yellow lower strap and matte pink upper strap feature a colorful geometric print that can only be described as retro. This quartz movement timepiece is made in Switzerland by Swatch, a manufacturer with designs in MoMA’s collection. The Swatch Neon Flumotions Watch has a 34mm case diameter, 4.3mm case thickness with a 38mm lug-to-lug measurement.

Why We Chose This
The return of the Neon Flumotions Watch from Swatch—a manufacturer in MoMA's collection—signals a renewed interest in the neon colors that prevailed in the 1980s. Certain MoMA collection artists working during that period were known for their excursions into neon, including Keith Haring, Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol.
