Why We Chose This
The Klydoclock brings together two concepts that we and the Museum are passionate about: clocks as everyday useful objects and artist-created animation. Clock designs in MoMA's collection range from the starkly minimalist Wall Clock (1969–70) by Nathan George Horwitt, to the experimental L'Ora X Clock (1945) by Bruno Munari. Some of the myriad animations offered by the Klydoclock, such as Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney's Steamboat Willie (1928) and motion studies by Eadweard J. Muybridge, are featured in MoMA's collection, while others represent our committment to celebrating graphic design.
Endless Animations
The Klydoclock lets you choose from a vast library of animations, including works by artists in MoMA's collection.
Controlling the Klydo
Includes a metal remote control for browsing the Klydo feed, designed for a sleek, tactile feel.
Customize Your Clock
Personalize your Klydo by choosing animation changes, from 5 minutes to 24 hours. You can also choose your sound: ticking, hourly chime or silent mode.
Authenticity Guarantee
At MoMA Design Store, all of the designs we sell are curator-approved and authentic. We ensure the integrity of our products through research and by working closely with the designers. Our products embody the spirit of good design objects in MoMA's collection. Some of them are actual designs represented in the Museum's collection.
