This Cauny Moneo Prado Square Watch is the first ever wristwatch designed by influential Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. Of the collaboration with the Portugal-based brand he says, “When Cauny asked me to design a watch, I couldn’t help but think of the two occasions on which I had designed clocks: for the Logroño City Hall and the Atocha Station. In both cases, the clock alludes to the meaning of the hours associated with the day's passing: twelve o’clock—noon—as the day's summit.” The perfect square shape alludes to the overall minimal design while the tall, thin Roman numerals reference ancient sundials. The distinctive straight red hands also leave a lasting impression. This numbered-edition timepiece features quartz movement, 316L stainless steel, 3ATM water-resistance and a genuine Italian Horween leather strap that’s interchangeable. The Cauny Moneo Prado Square Watch has a 30mm case, 5mm case thickness and the band measures 0.70w x 7.79”l excluding case and buckle.
