A stovetop classic reimagined as a chic industrial sculpture.

From Alessi, a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection, comes this modern version of a classic stovetop espresso maker. The Vite is like a mini industrial sculpture: the water boiler echoes the shape of a screw (vite in Italian), and its natural aluminum provides a nice contrast to the tank’s body, rendered in a muted color. The handle and lid knob in contrast color provide further visual appeal. These color variants are sampled from the machinery and tools of the Alessi workshop. The Vite 3-Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker has a magnetic steel bottom and can be used on all types of stovetops, including induction, and is crafted from aluminum casing with a handle and knob made from thermoplastic resin. It measures 6.7h x 3.9w x 6.3"d and holds 5.1oz. Hand-wash only.
