A poetic paper sculpture that turns the traditional lampshade into a soft, ambient light source.

Designed by Ingo Maurer in 1980, the Lampampe Table Lamp reimagines classic geometric forms—a cone and a cylinder—through delicate Japanese paper. Handmade in Munich, Germany, its surface is intentionally crinkled to give the material a soft, textured quality that diffuses light into a 100% glare-free, atmospheric glow. With its generous proportions, it functions equally well as a statement piece on low tables, credenzas, or directly on the floor. Ingo Maurer is a designer with work in MoMA’s collection.
