“I love working with the fabrics that I design because they are third versions of my drawing,” explains the designer. “They become building blocks for some of my artworks. Rather than a blank canvas, I start with one of my fabrics and either build it up or deconstruct it. I produce these special knit and woven fabrics with textile mills in other countries and here in the US and it’s a phenomenal process to do this type of work.”

“This towel came from a marker drawing I made several years ago that was a pattern based on a broken or shattered mirror or shards of glass. These patterns come from my imagination and I draw them freely by hand. ZigZagZurich loved the pattern and wanted it to be a towel. They proposed the blue and red color combination and I loved it.”

“This is a textile I made from a painting many years ago when I was first working with this Pop explosion imagery. I have always loved this kind of shape of echoing vibration that has sharp points. Excited exuberant explosion. Bang!”
