Originally designed by Verner Panton in 1971, this scaled-down cordless table lamp features a soft, organic silhouette paired with a trumpet-shaped stem that reflects smooth, 100% glare-free light downward. Built with integrated step-dimming technology and rechargeable portability, it brings Panton’s playful approach to light and form into modern everyday settings. Both Verner Panton and the lamp’s manufacturer, Louis Poulsen, are represented in MoMA’s collection. 

Details of the Panthella Original Portable Lamp include:

  • Cordless, step-dimmable touch switch, integrated warm LED (2700K), rechargeable battery.
  • Injection-molded polymer shade with a high-luster chrome stand.
  • Includes a USB-C charging cable for seamless indoor use across shelves, tables, or windowsills.
  •  Approximately 5 hours for a full charge via the included USB-C cable (plugs into any standard USB adapter).
  • Up to 8.5 hours continuous use at 100% full brightness, and significantly longer on dimmed settings (33% and 10%).
  • Features a discreet light indicator on the base that turns on while charging.
  • Measures 9.1h x 6.3”diam. with a 4.2” base diam.
