Why We Chose This
Several Braun designs are featured in MoMA's collection, celebrating a philosophy championed by legendary designer Dieter Rams. In 1964, MoMA staged the exhibition Two Design Programs: The Braun Company, Germany; The Chemex Corporation, USA, praising Braun’s "purity of shape and proportion... resulting in a product that is neat and unobtrusive." Grounded in Rams’ "10 Principles of Good Design"—which famously championed "less, but better"—Braun’s functional minimalism laid the groundwork for modern industrial design and deeply influenced contemporary tech companies like Apple.
Authenticity Guarantee
At MoMA Design Store, all of the designs we sell are curator-approved and authentic. We ensure the integrity of our products through research and by working closely with the designers. Our products embody the spirit of good design objects in MoMA's collection. Some of them are actual designs represented in the Museum's collection.
