Designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958, the PH Artichoke Pendant Lamp, a design in MoMA’s collection, helped redefine modern illumination with a revolutionary form that mimics the leafy layers of an artichoke. The design was originally conceived for the Langelinie Pavilonen, a modernist restaurant in Copenhagen, where it still hangs today.
