Crafted by woodworkers in Tosaryu, Japan, this bath mat is made from Hinoki, a cypress wood native to central Japan that is naturally resistant to humidity and rot, and repels water. The wood is known for its antimicrobial qualities and will bring a natural and pleasant citrus scent to your bathroom. The artisans of Tosaryu have utilized their technique of “monotsukuri,” a method that enhances the quality and function of the Hinoki wood. The wood is dried for three to six months before use. This maintains the fragrant, oil-rich and sturdy composition of the wood. The bath mat is produced using sustainable methods of production that adhere to Tosaryu’s mission of respecting the forests and lakes of their region. The Hinoki Wood Bath Mat measures  0.5h x 23.5w x 13.75"d.
