A monumental mid-century masterpiece delivering overhead light.

Designed in 1962 by Italian design legends Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, the Arco Floor Lamp—a design in MoMA’s collection—is one of the most celebrated icons of modern design. Originally conceived to provide overhead dining light without requiring ceiling suspension, it features a heavy white Carrara marble base that anchors a dramatic, telescoping stainless steel arch. The signature hole carved through the marble block makes it easy to move the lamp using a broom handle—a brilliant, playful touch of practical problem-solving. Its adjustable, spun-aluminum shade casts direct, overhead illumination right where you need it. The Arco Floor Lamp is made in Italy by Flos, a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection.
