For this \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eBoraatii Stool, Tariku was inspired by a headrest, carved from a single piece of wood by an Oromo artist, used in the late 19th century to preserve the elaborate hairstyle of its owner while they slept. (Oromo people are a Cushitic ethnic group native to Ethiopia and Kenya.) \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eBoraatii Stool is \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003emade in Virginia, crafted with precision using a CNC wood-milling machine and hand-finished and assembled. This height-adjustable design is made from water-resistant Baltic birch plywood with a double black stain finish and is made to order.
