This Swatch Clearly Watch makes a statement by being completely clear, from the strap to the case. The clear case reveals the watch’s inner mechanisms, while the red hour, blue minute and yellow second hands pop against the silver-colored ring and mechanical components. We chose the Swatch Clearly Watch for its similarity to a Swatch design in MoMA’s collection.

Why We Chose This
Swatch's GK 100 Jellyfish Watch—the inspiration for this Clearly Gent design and an object in MoMA's collection—was one of the 12 watches in the Swiss brand's very first line, released in 1983. Whereas Swiss watches were handmade in metal with 150 parts, Swatch's approach revolutionized the industry by debuting designs that were made of plastic with only 51 parts using automated assembly.
