MoMA Exclusive: Now made from a 2mm sheet of anodized aluminum, this digital clock—an update of our best-selling design—encourages intelligent thinking by inviting you to calculate the time according to six levels of difficulty. (It also includes a non-mathematical setting.) First produced through a Kickstarter program in 2015, the latest Albert Clock’s bright, anodized aluminum case makes a minimalist statement on your wall or desktop. Whether you use it in the classroom or kids’ room for its educational value, or in your office or living space for its playful aesthetic, it encourages everyone to slow down their fast-paced life—at least long enough to figure out what time it is. The Albert Aluminum Math Clock can be set for 12- or 24-hour time, is wall-mountable and measures 5.9h x 12.5w x 1.6"d.

Why We Chose This
The Albert Clock is named after Albert Einstein and inspired by the false rumor that Einstein was bad at math. Designer Alex Schindlbeck, who conceived this clock for a small Paris-based company, set out to turn classroom boredom into mental calculation skills. He gave the standard alphanumeric segment font a makeover, with improved readibility of numbers and symbols. This engaging educational tool caters to children's natural play instincts, and the satifsying delight of problem-solving.
