MoMA Exclusive: After studying textile design in Paris, Barbara Platte went on to create accessories for couture ateliers across Europe. Now the designer has her own line, Traits, known for high quality fabrics and a playful approach to color. This Lucy Wool-Silk Scarf was inspired by artist Vassily Kandinksy’s abstract paintings featuring geometric shapes. The supersoft piece is jacquard woven and then individually felted by hand, making each one uniquely special. Wrap yourself up in it to stay warm while adding a graphic punch to any outfit.
