Designed in 1973 by Italian visionary Paolo Rizzatto—whose work is represented in MoMA’s collection—the original 265 Wall Lamp combines the space-saving design of a sconce with the reach of a floor lamp.Featuring a sweeping six-foot steel arm anchored by a cast-iron counterweight, this mid-century classic offers 180-degree horizontal and vertical rotation without taking up an inch of floor space. Its adjustable head directs focused light precisely where you need it, making it an ingenious, space-saving lighting solution for large seating areas, work surfaces, or dining spaces. The 265 Wall Lamp is made in Italy by Flos, a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection.
