Here’s a useful object that’s both eco-friendly and attention-getting. Designed by Chris Granneberg, the Analog Table Lamp is made from a plant-based plastic substitute, the world’s first plant-derived polylactic acid. The material functions like a plastic, but is made from sugar cane and is a durable, sustainable material that’s specifically engineered for lighting designs.

The Analog is composed of four cube-shaped orange sections with an adjustable yellow cube that houses the lamp’s dimmable LED light. A joyful design for your desktop, the Analog can be used as a task lamp, or dimmed for more ambient light. (And it has a tendency to become the focal point of any desk, even a messy one.) The lamp has a soft-touch matte finish, with a translucent diffuser made from a corn-based plastic substitute, with a protective coating. It’s powered with a durable TPE cord that has a dimmer switch and flat wall plug. The Analog Table Lamp measures 16h x 4w x 8"d.
