Donald Judd Single Daybed 32
Handmade in the USA from natural pinewood, the Single Day Bed 32 was designed in 1978 by Donald Judd, an artist represented in MoMA’s collection. This 45.5h × 80w × 44"d daybed has become an icon of Judd’s furniture designs.The Single Daybed is made to Judd’s original specifications, and is stamped and numbered. You may experience this daybed in person outside MoMA’s exhibition JUDD at our store on the 6th floor, now through July 11, 2020. Touching and sitting on the daybed is encouraged.
The daybed arrives disassembled in a large crate no smaller than 99 x 52 x 34” with a shipping weight of 900 lbs. White-glove delivery and installation is required. The installers will open the crate, assemble the daybed and then remove the crate from your premises. Mattress not included.
Donald Judd designed furniture in both wood and metal, with a specific approach to proportion and scale, fabrication and exhibition. He outlined his furniture-design philosophy in an essay titled, “It’s Hard to Find a Good Lamp.”
