Scandinavian minimalism meets contemporary cool in Jasper Morrisonās stackable chair.
Its ergonomically contoured plastic shell is supported by slender legs of chrome-plated tubular steel. The natural flexibility of the back offers additional comfort. Available in eight colors with chrome bases, theyāre versatile chairs for breakfast tables, playrooms, and work spaces. Stack up to 6 chairs high. Made in Germany by Vitra, a manufacturer of iconic modern furnishings thatās widely represented in the Museumās collection.
London-born Jasper Morrison is a designer with international credentials. He studied at Kingston Polytechnic, Londonās Royal College of Art, and HDK in Berlin and has design offices in both London and Paris. In 1995, his firm landed the design contract for the new Hannover Tram, a massive light rail project. Their work on the Tram earned an IF Transportation Design Prize and the Ecology award. Morrison also garnered the distinction of Royal Designer for Industry and has worked with a wide range of clients including FLOS, Vitra, and Muji. Morrisonās work is included in MoMAās collection and in three of the Museumās exhibitions, including Mutant Materials in Contemporary Design (1995).
