Fun and famous, the Panto Pop Chair was designed by Verner Panton in 1969 and makes a mod statement on your patio, poolside or backyard. A drainage hole in the seat of the chair allows you to leave it outside during inclement weather and it’s also suited for indoor use, particularly in your children’s room. The Panto Pop Chair comes in a set of two and is stackable up to 15 chairs for easy storage. The chair is made from polypropylene and each one measures 21h x 32"diam. and weighs about 10 lbs.

Verner Panton
Verner Panton

Known for his futuristic designs in a variety of materials, particularly plastic, Verner Panton (1926–1998) is considered one of Denmark's most influential designers of the last century. Although his designs for the home and office have a distinct 1960s style, they have attained a timeless appeal. His work in MoMA's collection includes the Stacking Side Chair (1959–1960), a gravity-defying design made from fiber-reinforced plastic. His furniture and lighting designs have appeared in exhibitions at the Museum, including Architecture and Design: Inaugural Installation (2004–2005).

Authenticity Guarantee

At MoMA Design Store, all of the designs we sell are curator-approved and authentic. We ensure the integrity of our products through research and by working closely with the designers. Our products embody the spirit of good design objects in MoMA's collection. Some of them are actual designs represented in the Museum's collection.
