Each Gio Ponti Ceramic Tile is hand-decorated using an ancient Italian technique that utilizes a special paper stencil placed over the tile, piece by piece. The artisan uses a brush to distribute color, with resulting brushstrokes and color fades that make each tile a unique piece. Each Gio Ponti Ceramic Tile is an everyday masterpiece, suitable for many rooms in your home, from the kitchen to the bathroom to outdoor spaces. Individual tiles can be used as delightful accents on tables, counters or in your garden. Each piece is 8” square. Made in Italy.

Gio Ponti
An architect, designer, artist and writer, Gio Ponti (1891–1979) built more than 100 buildings in Italy and around the world. After WWII, he was a major figure in the renewal of Italian design and the Italian-style art of living. His most famous works include the Pirelli Tower in Milan (built between 1956 and 1960) and the Leggera Side Chair (1951), an object in MoMA's collection. His work has been included in several exhibitions at the Museum, including Good Design (1950–1951) and Century of the Child: Growing by Design, 1900–2000 (2012).
