Flos Parentesi Cable Floor Light
Description
The result of a collaborative project between Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù, this 1971 lighting system was named for parentheses (parentesi in Italian)—a nod to the nickel-plated, bracket-like tube attached to a steel cable. This innovative bracket allows the lamp head to move vertically along the floor-to-ceiling cable for a customized position. Install two or more to create dynamic, grouped lighting angled to fill a living room or studio. The designers and the manufacturer, Flos, are represented in MoMA’s collection. Designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzu for FLOS.
