Shaped like its extraterrestrial namesake, the Nelson™ Crisscross Saucer Bubble Pendant features a unique frame of crossed steel rods that create a striking visual pattern through its transparent plastic covering. Born from designer George Nelson’s frustration with the high price of the silk-covered Swedish lamps he wanted to install in his office, each design in the Nelson™ Bubble Pendant Lamp series features a lightweight steel frame with organically curved shapes.

The Nelson™ Crisscross Saucer Bubble Pendant includes a ceiling plate of brushed, nickel-plated steel and a 10-foot cord, is UL listed, and fits a standard size bulb up to 150 watts (not included). The Nelson™ Crisscross Pear Bubble Pendant is available in sizes S (6h x 17.5”w) and M (9.5h x 25”w). Installation required. Designer George Nelson has work in MoMA’s collection.
