A tribute to Bauhaus textiles master Gunta Stölzl, this light, bright geometric Bauhaused Blanket honors her translation of modern art into woven form. Stölzl played a fundamental role in the development of the Bauhaus weaving workshop. As its only female master, she created enormous change within the workshop as it transitioned from individual pictorial works to modern, industrial designs. A comforting classic for a couch or bed, the 55″ x 79″ Bauhaused Blanket is woven from 100% soft lambswool in New Zealand and finished in Finland and Italy. Stölzl is a designer represented in MoMA's collection.
