Lezioni Vase

  • Enzo Mari

    An influence on many generations of industrial designers, Italian modernist artist and furniture designer Enzo Mari (1932–2020) is represented in MoMA's collection with over 20 objects. They include designs such his 1961 umbrella stand, which is constructed from two sheets of bent aluminum, and his 1971 Sof-Sof Chair, which juxtaposes an iron wire frame with two plush white cushions. His work has been featured in such MoMA exhibitions as The Responsive Eye (1965) and Shaping Modernity: Design 1880–1980 (2009–2010).
