Why We Chose This
This Plissé appliance is produced by Alessi, an Italian company founded in 1921. The brand is famous for their everyday objects that strike a balance between aesthetics and function. Throughout the years, they have collaborated with international designers, such as Michael Graves, Alberto Meda, Achille Castiglioni and Ettore Sottsass. Two Alessi designs are represented in MoMA's collection: David Chipperfield's Piana Chair from 2010, and Philippe Starck's Ceci N'est Pas une Truelle Cake Server from 1996.

Authenticity Guarantee

At MoMA Design Store, all of the designs we sell are curator-approved and authentic. We ensure the integrity of our products through research and by working closely with the designers. Our products embody the spirit of good design objects in MoMA's collection. Some of them are actual designs represented in the Museum's collection.
