These distinctively sleek and colorful trays are crafted from form-pressed steel, and each has a practical rim that ensures the food or drinks you serve won’t fall off the edge. Native to Stockholm and educated in California, designer Clara von Zweigbergk successfully merges both design influences in the HAY Ellipse Trays, available in a range of tasteful colors and in five sizes that measure from 6.3” to 18.5”l. The HAY Ellipse Trays are food-safe and can be stored by stacking them inside each other. HAY is a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection.

HAY Ellipse Trays

  • HAY

HAY, founded in 2002 in Denmark by husband-and-wife team Mette and Rolf Hay, was born with the idea of offering thoughtful, functional, beautiful and high-quality designs at accessible prices. HAY is represented as a manufacturer in MoMA’s collection with several objects, such as the Prince Chair, a 2002 design by Louise Campbell. Devised for a competition to create a chair for the Crown Prince of Denmark, its seat resembles an unfolded paper cutout. Another design in the collection, Stefan Diez’s 2013 Rope Trick Lamp, is inspired by power transfer coils common to CNC hardware.

Authenticity Guarantee

At MoMA Design Store, all of the designs we sell are curator-approved and authentic. We ensure the integrity of our products through research and by working closely with the designers.
