WrongWoods Credenza
For this twist on midcentury utilitarian cabinets, artist Richard Woods employed one of his signature motifs that reinterpret everyday patterns: wood-grain prints in unexpected colors. The pattern of this credenza was silkscreened by hand using pigment and clear lacquer, creating texture and ensuring that each piece is one-of-a-kind. The cabinet’s interior provides contrast with neutral colors and it’s all around decoration means it can be enjoyed from all angles. Richard Woods is a designer in MoMA’s collection. Handcrafted of wood and plywood.
