Multicolor Dot Scarf
Description

MoMA Exclusive: Crafted in Japan by third-generation master weaver Osamu Mita, the Multicolor Dot Scarf is a very generously sized wrap that features a design of multicolored dots arranged in size from large to small and small to large again. Known for using special finishing techniques and fabric blends to achieve unusual surfaces and textures, Mita formed the base fabric of this scarf interweaving nylon and polyester ultrafine fibers with cupra to give a sense of transparency. Mita’s work is included in MoMA’s collection and was featured in the 1998 MoMA exhibition Structure & Surface: Contemporary Japanese Textiles. The Multicolor Dot Scarf is composed of a 28% wool, 28% acrylic, 25% cupro, 14% nylon and 5% polyester blend, and is available in Black or White, both with multicolored dots. Hand wash only.
