Made by the Japanese company SFIDA which means “challenge” in Italian these cute animal-character soccer balls (which are about the size of a small cantaloupe) are sure to bring a smile to your children’s faces.
SFIDA’s mission is to combat the problem of child labor in soccer ball factories around the world. In Pakistan which has the largest number of soccer-ball factories in the world many children cannot afford an education.
SFIDA’s fair-trade factory in Pakistan provides fair wages and a secure environment for their workers. They are dedicated to fair-business practices free of child labor and are aided by regular assessments from international organizations. They believe that the best way to combat child labor is to provide appropriate income for their employees so they can afford to send their children to school.
