Used in the Museum's restaurant, The Modern, this sleek, hand-finished pitcher is a precise, easily controlled, ergonomic pouring tool. The designer's mission is to produce utilitarian items that are also "objects of pure pleasure." The Fink Pitcher Jug represents the Museum's effort to feature ergonomic design, many examples of which are included in the Museum's collection. Made of anodized aluminum with a powder-coated aluminum handle, aluminum was a substance celebrated in Mutant Materials in Contemporary Design, an exhibition organized and mounted by the Museum's Department of Architecture and Design. Hand-wash only.
