Louise Bourgeois: Red Dots Plate
In 2002, Louise Bourgeois created the remarkable fabric scrapbook Ode à l'oubli. Its binding and pages are made of the monogrammed hand towels from the artist's 1938 wedding trousseau, and it features collages of fabric from her own clothing and textiles. The book was donated to MoMA and is part of the museum's collection of Bourgeois's complete books and prints. The motif of this porcelain plate was inspired by the pages of Ode à l'oubli, adding yet another dimension to this fascinating work. Dishwasher safe.
