MoMA Exclusive: Designed by the Stockholm-based watch brand TID (which means “time” in Swedish), this timepiece is composed of TR90—a new Swiss-produced thermoplastic. In addition to being incredibly durable, this innovative material is flexible and lightweight. The watch’s crown is uniquely positioned on the left-hand side of the dial, so it doesn’t dig into the wearer’s hand when they extend their wrist. The numerals on the TID’s face rotate around the dial rather than being positioned vertically. Designed by Petrus Palmer, Jonas Pettersson, John Löfgren Working and Ola Bernestål, the watch’s clean, unadorned look is a great fit for fans of minimalism.
