James Rosenquist F-111 Skateboard
Description

MoMA Exclusive: Each of these skateboards features a reproduction from James Rosenquist’s artwork F-111 (1964–65), a work in MoMA’s collection. The original work, which consists of 59 oversized panels, addresses the connection between the Vietnam War, consumerism and advertising.

Each skateboard is sold separately and produced in a limited and numbered edition of 100 and made from 7-ply Canadian maple wood. It includes a printed signature of the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Add your own wheels (not included) for a cool, functional skateboard or hang on your wall as art (wall mount included). The James Rosenquist F-111 Skateboard measures 31h x 8w x 0.5"d

James Rosenquist (American, 1933–2017) became well-known in the 1960s for his innovative work in the Pop movement. Drawing on his early experience as a billboard painter, Rosenquist culled imagery from advertising, photographs, and popular culture, to create work that radically changed the art world.
