This collectible miniature painstakingly replicates Sori Yanagi's famous Butterfly Stool, a clever and beautiful construction of two identical shapes that are connected axisymmetrically. The resulting silhouette recalls the wings of a butterfly. The stool was awarded the gold medal at the 1957 Milan triennial. Developed by the Vitra Design Museum in Germany, the chair is crafted in its original materials and packed in its own wooden shipping crate with a descriptive brochure. Reproduced here at a scale of 1:6.
