HAY Copenhague 90 Desk
Versatile and beautiful, the HAY Copenhague 90 Desk was designed as part of a commission for the Bouroullec brothers to create furniture for the University of Copenhagen. Aiming to create a comfortable environment that would encourage students to stay in school, the university needed the designs to have a warm and domesticated touch, while still being low-cost and practical. The Bouroullec brothers approached the task by merging classic cues from design history with modern technology. This desk draws on a nostalgic mid-century silhouette that has been tweaked with rigorously clean lines and asymmetrical legs. The HAY Copenhague 90 Desk is made from a solid wood frame; plywood tabletop with linoleum and measures 29.25h x 51.25w x 25.75"d. Both the Bouroullec brothers and the manufacturer HAY are represented in MoMA's collection.

In or Related to MoMA's Collection
The Museum of Modern Art established the world's first curatorial department devoted to architecture and design. MoMA Design Store carries a selection of design objects from that collection. We only offer authorized versions in the colors and materials selected by the original designers. MoMA's design collection is ever-changing, a reflection of the evolving field of design itself.
