Acca Kappa Toothbrush
The Acca Kappa Toothbrush is a design from the 1930s, conceived when Acca Kappa was the first Italian company to produce toothbrushes by using celluloid. This innovative design is still produced by Acca Kappa today, in Treviso, Italy. The toothbrush’s minimalist lines and distinctive “boat” silhouette-shaped bristles make it an elegant everyday object for personal care. The wide brush head provides deep cleaning while massaging the gums gently. Every Acca Kappa Toothbrush comes in a transparent plastic box which is perfect for travel and gifting. The toothbrush bears the brand’s original silver imprint.
Acca Kappa was founded in 1869 by Herman Krüll, a young entrepreneur who belonged to the Venetian German community. His first catalogue was filled with brushes for animals, silver, floors, bicycles and more, and by the end of 1800s his designs spread across Europe, delighting the upper classes of the time.
In 1908, he opened modern facilities in Treviso and began producing luxury women’s brushes and toothbrushes using precious materials, such as ebony. Even today every hairbrush, toothbrush and comb produced by Acca Kappa is a small treasure for everyday personal care.
