MoMA Exclusive: Motivate your children to learn how to read clocks with the Fun Pun Desk Clock. Using the Montessori education method, this design teaches kids the relationship between the decimal and hexadecimal systems, so they’ll be able to read clocks and learn about the concept of time. Made ABS plastic and glass by Lemnos, a Japanese company founded in 1947. It measures 6.3h x 6w x 2.35"d.
Why We Chose This
Designer Yoko Dobashi developed the Fun Pun Clock as an educational tool for children. "Regardless of how much digital technology has developed, an analog clock is still easier for children to understand," explains Dobashi. "Because it visually shows how much time they have left—and helps them to intuitively understand the time with an image, like a graphic."
