As a child Yayoi Kusama had elaborate dreams and visions in which she saw the world covered in polka dots. Over the course of her 60-year career she has covered her paintings drawings and sculptures with a repeated almost obsessive layer of dots nets squiggles and stickers that playfully challenge traditional ideas about composition. The UNIQLO at MoMA collaboration transforms Kusamas canvases into artful apparel available to all. This piece is part of MoMAs Special Edition product collection and features art work from MoMAs permanent collection.
