Portuguese popular pottery has maintained its traditions throughout centuries of production, generally in small family factories that are passed down from generation to generation. This clay plate has an earthy orange-brown glaze with a painted white heart motif and was produced by A Vida Portuguesa by artisans from Portugal’s Leiria area who specialize in clay. A Vida Portuguesa is a small Lisbon-based shop focused on goods made in Portugal. The Clay Heart Plate measures 4.5"diam. It is a wonderful decorative object that can also be used for food or snacks.
