The landscape of southern Portugal is marked by olive trees, the fruit of which produces olive oil. It is also there, in Odemira, that the wood from these trees is transformed into beautiful utilitarian and decorative designs by Portuguese brand Alentejo Azul. This Olive Wood Cutting Board is characterized by an organic shape, rich tones and a beautiful pattern created by the wood’s natural grain. Because the shape may vary, along with the variations in the olive wood’s grain, each cutting board is unique. The board has a handle making it easier to lift as you scrape your chopped ingredients into a bowl, pot or frying pan. A hole in the handle allows you to hang and display the board when not in use. The Olive Wood Cutting Board is sourced by A Vida Portuguesa, a small Lisbon-based, women-owned shop focused on goods made in Portugal.
