Alexis Bittar

Alexis Bittar is a jewelry designer who was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1968. He began designing jewelry in 1990 and carved his first Lucite collection in his one-bedroom apartment. He entered the world of retail in 1992 when the influential fashion director of Bergdorf Goodman, Dawn Mello, discovered him. In 2010 he won the CFDA award for Accessory Designer of the Year. Over the years, his memorable ad campaigns have starred such personalities as Lauren Hutton, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley of Absolutely Fabulous, Iris Apfel and Tavi Gavinson. After selling his brand in 2015, he reacquired his company in 2020 and relaunched Alexis Bittar in 2021 with a brand-new collection of hand-sculpted and hand-painted Lucite jewelry.
