MoMA Exclusive: Artist and designer Annika Inez grew up surrounded by the pastoral landscapes of her native Sweden. Now based in New York City, Inez draws design inspiration from the chaotic city’s contrast with the quietude of her homeland. These Rolling Stone Earrings are composed of sterling silver and white chalcedony stones. The name of the design becomes clear when you discover that the stone set in the bottom of each earring moves freely when you spin it. Inez is committed to sustainable methods of sourcing, production and packaging. She works with individual jewelers and artisans in NYC who make each piece by hand, as well as a small workforce of artisans and designers overseas.
