Mesmerizing synchronicity between sound and light.

Limited to just 1,000 pieces worldwide, this modern analog turntable is quite the illuminating spectacle for music enthusiasts that appreciate the synchronicity between sound and light. Inspired by the glow of fireflies (“hotaru” is firefly in Japanese), the Audio-Technica Hotaru Turntable celebrates the true quality of analog music while redefining living spaces with superb sound.

The Hotaru Turntable is a fully immersive sensory experience that transforms your space into a meditative, fleeting memory—like fireflies congregating in the night. This beautiful turntable is packaged in a faux-alabaster stone box wrapped in traditional Kyoto furoshiki cloth. Crafted in acrylic material, the Hotaru illuminates your records and uses a special AT-VM740xML cartridge with a microlinear stylus and a black finish to capture the subtle nuances of sound.

The turntable features 20 different colors and three light modes that respond to the type of music being played. The all-in-one turntable has an integrated turntable, amplifier, and speakers. Among its standout features is the floating platter, which uses magnetic repulsion to suspend the turntable midair and enhance playback accuracy—and creates the illusion that it’s levitating. This helps stop vibrations that might compromise the integrity of the sound.

The turntable has a straight tonearm, which consists of lightweight, high-rigidity carbon fiber for durability. As a bonus, you can change up your musical experience and swap the moving magnet and the moving coil cartridge through a switch located beneath the platter.
