Modeled after iconic home architecture, the Cedar Chalet Mid-Century Modern Dollhouse is fully styled and ready to play for ages 3+. Details like a pebble dash style chimney and sliding slatted wall add authenticity to the sloped chalet home. This retro-style house has six rooms which can be staged with the included starter set of modernist furniture, like a 1950’s style sofa and kidney-shaped coffee table. MoMA has a history of collecting toys and games, as seen in Century of the Child: Growing by Design, 1900–2000 (2012), an exhibition which emphasized engaging designs for children.
