“I saw this collection as an opportunity to mix patterns, since each piece has multiple layers stitched together,” explains Ellen Van Dusen. “I wanted three different feelings. For example, the stripe is super-saturated and playful while the arcs are a more complex mix of patterns.”

Designer Ellen Van Dusen launched her brand Dusen Dusen in 2010 with a line of womenswear featuring original prints on versatile silhouettes. In 2015, she expanded her brand with the introduction of Dusen Dusen Home, which now includes towels, a bathrobe, a tissue box and a trash bin. The designs are characterized by vibrant colors and stripes, inspired by fine art and Van Dusen’s research into how our brains react to color.
