Delicate in appearance but durable in their material, these semi-circle-shaped Nejiri Glass Earrings feature a textured, spiral motif that sparkles in the light. They’re made by Hario, a Japanese brand with a 100-year history that was known for producing glass coffeemakers and science instruments before it began manufacturing jewelry. Like all of their designs, these lightweight earrings are handmade with a process that involves craftspeople in Japan melting glass with a torch. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. The resulting glass design is heatproof, with a strong resistance to temperature change and excellent durability against chemicals and shock. Hario is the only company producing heatproof glass at its own factory in Japan. The Hario Nejiri Glass Earrings measure 1.5"diam. each.
