Evoking the shape of teardrops, these lightweight earrings are handmade in Japan by skilled artisans through a process that involves melting glass with a torch. Once the glass is in a molten state, it is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. The Tears Water Drops Glass Earrings are produced by Hario, a 100-year-old company with its own factory in Japan—the only place in the country that produces heatproof glass. This durable material has a strong resistance to temperature change and excellent durability against chemicals and shock. Before creating jewelry, the brand was known for producing glass coffeemakers and science instruments. The Hario Tears Glass Earrings measure 4.25”l each.
